List of MLB Teams
Major League Baseball (MLB) is a professional baseball league in North America consisting of 30 teams, 29 in the United States and one in Canada. It is the oldest of the four major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and is widely considered the highest level of professional baseball in the world.
MLB‘s regular season runs from late March to early October, with each team playing 162 games. The teams are divided into two leagues, the National League and the American League, each consisting of three divisions of five teams. The winners of each division, along with two Wild Card teams from each league, advance to the postseason, which culminates in the World Series, a best-of-seven series between the two league champions.
MLB has a rich history dating back to the late 1800s, with numerous legendary players and moments. The league has also faced controversies and challenges over the years, including issues with performance-enhancing drugs, labor disputes, and changes in the way the game is played.
